What this month looked like: traffic pulled back from May's surge, sessions down 10.8% and revenue down 23.7%, but engagement rate held essentially flat at 69.8%, so this reads as a return to a steadier baseline rather than a fresh problem. Against last June the picture is much healthier: revenue up 45.4% and bookings up 35.6% on fewer sessions than a year ago. Workshops was the one category that kept growing while everything else cooled, sessions, revenue and bookings all up against May. Camping's revenue fell sharply again this month, worth a continued watch alongside May's pattern.
SECTION 2

Traffic Overview

2.1 Traffic by Channel

Ordered by sessions, highest to lowest. GA4 introduced its own native "AI Assistant" channel category this month, so that line now reflects GA4's own classification combined with any leftover ChatGPT sessions still landing in Unassigned, rather than a fully manual breakout.

Standout: Organic Search and Direct both cooled against May in line with the wider traffic pullback, but both are still well ahead of where they sat this time last year. Paid Social and Mobile Push Notifications both carried real traffic and revenue in June 2025 (1,669 and 456 sessions respectively) and remain at zero this year, worth checking whether either channel is meant to still be active.

2.2 Referral Source Breakdown

Remaining referral sources not already broken out above as their own channel line.

cntraveller.com sent 99 sessions this month, a genuine press mention from Condé Nast Traveller worth a proper look at whatever the referring article covers.
SECTION 3

Landing Pages & Engagement

Revenue here is attributed to the page a session landed on, not necessarily where the transaction happened. A session that lands on /glamping/ and later completes on /complete-your-booking/ counts its revenue against /glamping/ here, so this table shows which entry points are worth the most across the whole session, not page-level transactions.

The homepage remains the dominant revenue driver by a wide margin.

Standout: the gap between New and Returning conversion widened further this month. Returning visitors convert at 5.7% against New's 1.8%, more than triple, and Returning again generated the majority of revenue from under a third of sessions.

Desktop revenue per session (£5.51) remains well ahead of Mobile (£2.21). Uckfield's revenue recovered strongly this month, up 143% against May on almost identical session volume, the opposite of last month's pattern where its traffic tripled but revenue collapsed.
SECTION 6

Bookings & Enquiries

6.1 Booking Funnel by Type

Steps tracked: Choosing Prices, then Payment Added, then Booking Completed. Data note: the earliest funnel step (Choosing Dates) stopped firing in GA4 after June 2025, a genuine tracking gap upstream of us. The funnel below starts from the earliest step still reliably tracked.

Booking TypeChoosing PricesPayment AddedBooking Completed
Camping3331
Glamping1424622
Workshops12300136
Site-wide total1,588994476
Standout: Camping's funnel stayed thin for a second month, only 3 of 33 people who reached Choosing Prices went on to Payment Added. Workshops again shows far more "Payment Added" events than "Choosing Prices", consistent with the working theory that workshops are frequently added on to an existing Camping or Glamping booking already in progress, rather than booked as their own standalone journey.

6.2 Enquiries & Contact Events

EventCountMoMYoY
Form submissions: Groups28▲ 16.7%▲ 180.0%

Phone clicks: Contact Us page34▼ 38.2%▼ 39.3%
Phone clicks: Footer101▲ 9.8%▲ 12.2%
Groups form submissions nearly tripled year on year (28 against 10 in June 2025) and grew again against May. Phone clicks from the Contact Us page dropped to their lowest level of the three months tracked so far, worth keeping an eye on whether that's a genuine shift toward form submissions or something else.
SECTION 7

Shop (Merchandise)

Traffic and engagement below reflect real GA4 tracking. We are not reporting a shop order or revenue figure this month: GA4's purchase event never fires for the shop checkout, so any count we produced from page views would not be reliable enough to report as a number.

Wild Spa is booked through the same embedded booking widget as the rest of the site, and the transaction records against wherever the booking actually completes (mainly /complete-your-booking/ and /booking-at-wowo/) rather than the page the visitor started on, so there's genuinely nothing to report on revenue or transactions for this page specifically. Sessions and engagement both eased back slightly from May but remain above last June's levels.

This remains the single biggest booking pathway on the site. As agreed, /complete-your-booking/ is only reachable via the homepage widget, so its revenue and bookings are reported here as a direct continuation of the homepage journey. Both homepage sessions and widget completions fell back from May's peak, in line with the wider traffic pullback this month.

Groups form submissions grew for a third month running, now nearly triple last June's level.

Opportunities

cntraveller.com sent a real press-driven referral this month, worth understanding and potentially building on with further PR outreach.
"wowo campsite" converts at 55.5% CTR against "wowo" at 18.7%, both branded but very different efficiency, worth understanding what differs in how each appears in results.
Uckfield's revenue recovery this month suggests May's slump there may have been temporary rather than a structural problem, worth confirming with another month of data.
Adult Hoody's best month yet, small in absolute terms, but the first clear product-level shop signal worth watching for a trend.

Watch Points

Camping revenue fell 84.5% against May on barely lower traffic, its weakest conversion month of the year so far and worth investigating directly rather than waiting on it to self-correct.
Glamping has now softened for three months running since April's peak, sessions, revenue and bookings all trending down.
The homepage's average Search Console position slipped from 5.68 to 6.30 this month, small but worth watching if the trend continues.
Paid Social and Mobile Push Notifications both carried meaningful traffic and revenue in June 2025 and remain at zero this year, worth confirming whether that's intentional.

Popularity Insights: Glamping & Workshops

Alice Yurt is the most-visited individual glamping option again this month, though Bluebell Shepherds Hut delivered the category's top revenue on far less traffic.
Grassy Bell Tents pulled strong traffic (484 sessions) but converted zero bookings this month, a mismatch worth a closer look.
Really Wild Bushcraft had its best month of the year, the clear standout workshop across sessions, revenue and bookings.
Stage Combat pulled its highest traffic of the year (103 sessions) but converted zero bookings, worth a page review given the sustained interest.

Year to Date (Jan – Jun 2026)

Sessions & Total Users

Both lines pulled back from May's peak but remain well above the January to April range, confirming the site has stepped up to a higher baseline heading into peak season.

Traffic by Channel

Organic Search eased back with the wider traffic pullback but its lead over every other channel remains far larger than it was earlier in the year.

GSC: Branded vs Non-Branded Clicks

Branded clicks eased slightly from May's high but stayed well above every earlier month this year. Non-branded clicks have now roughly plateaued over the last three months.

Revenue by Page (Top 5 + Other)

June's total bar is the smallest since March, mostly driven by a smaller Complete Your Booking segment as fewer of this month's browsers converted through to a full booking.

Glamping: Revenue vs Bookings

Both lines have now declined for three straight months since April, the clearest sustained downward trend anywhere in this report.

Camping: Revenue vs Bookings

Camping's revenue line has now fallen for two consecutive months after peaking in March, even as sessions have generally grown across the same period.

Workshops: Revenue vs Bookings

Workshops remains the standout growth story of the year, both lines have climbed in five of the six months so far, with June marking a new high on both measures.
